Hi, I’m Ellie, an experienced English teacher and tutor with over four years of teaching experience. I specialise in AQA and Edexcel English Language and English Literature, and I also have experience with the Eduqas exam board. I currently mark for AQA, which means I have a strong understanding of what examiners are really looking for and how students can pick up marks effectively.
Last year, I worked with students resitting GCSE English who progressed from grade 3 to grades 5 and 6, helping them rebuild confidence as well as improve their results. I recently completed a Master’s in Education, focusing on SEN teaching in mainstream settings, so I’m very confident in scaffolding work, adapting lessons, and supporting students who may struggle with anxiety or confidence.
I’m a supportive, patient tutor and I understand just how stressful English exams can feel. My aim is always to create a calm, structured environment where students feel safe, supported, and able to make real progress at their own pace.
